Eric Berry is one of the most decorated players to ever come out of a Georgia high school football program. As a senior in 2006, he totaled 2,552 rushing and passing yards for a 12-1 Creekside team as a two-way starter at quarterback and safety. He was named the AJC and Gatorade All-Classification Player of the Year and was a Parade and MaxPreps All-American. The Seminoles won two region titles (2005, 2006) and made a Class 4A quarterfinals appearance with Berry as their leader. He was the consensus No. 3 overall recruit, the No. 1 cornerback and the No. 1 player in Georgia for the Class of 2007. He committed to the University of Tennessee where he was a two-time first-team All-American and SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. He was drafted fifth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs where he played for nine seasons. He continued to garner accolades and was named to five Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro teams and made the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. Perhaps Berry's most impressive gridiron achievement came when he defeated cancer, and in his return to football went on to record two interceptions and 61 combined tackles in his 2015 season, earning him the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
