Adam Meadows was a multi-sport athlete for McEachern where he lettered in basketball and football. An offensive tackle and tight end, he played under long-time head coach Jimmy Dorsey. He was named AJC First-Team All-State as a tight end in 1991 and helped lead the Indians to a 42-8 record in his four years as a starter. During his time at McEachern, he led the Indians to three region titles and one Class 4A semifinal appearance before losing in overtime 21-14 to LaGrange, the eventual state champions. In his junior season, he had 16 receptions for 378 yards and seven touchdowns, but was primarily used as a blocker in the Wing-T offense at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds. He was the No. 25 recruit nationally and was listed as the No. 4 recruit in Georgia by the AJC. He took his talents to the University of Georgia where he started four seasons from 1993 to 1996, and was named All-SEC in 1996. He was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as the 48th pick of the 1997 NFL Draft and played seven seasons, starting in 99 games. He retired due to a shoulder injury, but returned to the league and signed with the Denver Broncos in 2006. In 2017, Meadows was inducted into the McEachern Athletics Hall of Fame and was joined by his former coach Dorsey in 2021.
