Jeff Saturday attended Shamrock High in Decatur, Georgia where he was a standout football player and is now widely regarded as one of the greatest centers to ever play the game. His talents earned him a scholarship to play college football at the University of North Carolina. After four years at UNC, Saturday was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent after the 1998 NFL Draft, but ultimately spent the bulk of his career as the center for the Indianapolis Colts. He was known for his exceptional blocking skills and his ability to read the defense. During his time in the NFL, Saturday was a key part of the Colts' offensive line, helping to protect quarterback Peyton Manning and pave the way for the team's success. He was an integral part of the Colts’ 2006 Super Bowl team and was a six-time Pro Bowler, was named to the All-Pro team twice and was a two-time Second-Team All-Pro. Saturday was the head coach of Hebron Christian High School from 2017 to 2020, and was named the interim coach for the Colts for one season, in 2022. In 2007, he was selected as Offensive Lineman of the Year by the National Football League Alumni organization and was inducted into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor in 2015. He was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
