RENNIE CURRAN

Rennie Curran starred at Brookwood High and graduated as the Broncos’ all-time leading tackler. During his senior season, he tallied 198 total tackles with 13 sacks and 23 total tackles for losses. His play earned him 2006 GACA Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year and his second-straight First-Team GSWA, GACA All-State selection and back-to-back Gwinnett TD Club Defensive Player of the Year. Curran helped lead Brookwood to a finals appearance in 2006 and rose to the No. 15 overall-prospect in the state of Georgia before committing to the Bulldogs. At UGA, Curran was a permanent captain for all three seasons (2007-09) and was a three-time All-American selection. Curran was named First-Team All-SEC in 2008 and 2009 and declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season. He went in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft and played two NFL seasons and three CFL seasons (41 games, 28 starts). He entered the Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame in 2019 and the Georgia Florida Hall of Fame the same year. An author and motivational speaker, he continues to inspire individuals with the Game Changers Foundation and makes regular appearances on local and national television networks and many University of Georgia based radio and television shows. Prior to this induction, Curran was also listed in the UGA 40 under 40 and Terry Alumni of the Year for 2023.
