Ronnie Brown starred at Cartersville as a two-way athlete, displaying impeccable running skills on offense and his football knowledge on defense. Brown led Cartersville to a 15-0 record and the 1999 Class 2A State Championship while rushing for 1,931 yards and 25 touchdowns with 343 receiving yards and three touchdowns during the season. In the 27-21 victory over Hart County in the championship game, Brown rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns. He was a Parade All-American and was the 1999 GSWA Class 2A Player of the Year. He went to Auburn where he rushed for 2,707 yards, seventh in school history, with 28 touchdown runs. In 2004, Brown – together with Jason Campbell – were one of the best backfield duos in recent history, leading Auburn to a 13-0 record while rushing for 913 yards and eight touchdowns. Selected by the Miami Dolphins as the second-overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, he played 10 seasons in the NFL. He rushed for 5,391 yards and 38 touchdowns to go with 246 receptions for 1,966 yards and two touchdowns. He was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. Brown currently lives in Atlanta with his wife, Taylor, and their two kids. He is active in the community while also doing sideline reporting with Auburn football and is a full-time wealth management professional.
